The Series 4000 Remote
Photo-Switches are ideally suited for the detection of both hot and
cold product over long distances in hostile locations. They may be
arranged and used as a Thru-Beam Barrier Device or as a
Retro-Reflective Device utilizing a Reflector or a Diffuse Device by
directly reflecting off the product itself.
The Series 4000 Remote Photo-Switches are particularly useful where
the product is at times too hot to permit the use of proximity or
normal photo-electric sensors, yet radiates insufficient Infrared (IR) energy
for detection with hot product sensors.
These Photo-Switches utilize powerful Gallium Arsenide Transmitter
cells, their pulsed infra-red beam penetrates substantial steam over
long distances and operates with heavy lens contamination. They will
also accommodate substantial lens mis-alignment.
Total flexibility in view on the many options available. Namely,
single or dual controllers with transmitter and receiver lenses
connected via silicone lead and/or sheathed optic leads. A
combination of both connection techniques enables mounting of the
remote lenses close to the process and the controller in an
accessible area.
The Series 4000 controller comprises either an IP66 watertight
aluminum enclosure or alternatively for multiple mounting, compact
plug-in modules. The lenses heads are sealed units encased within a
stainless steel tubular housing. Electronic Transmitter and Receiver
lenses are available with a maximum temperature rating of 55°C.
Optic lens heads are available in a standard temperature version
rated 180°C maximum and a high temperature version rated 400°C
maximum .
Various lens mounting brackets and facilities are available to
accommodate installation requirements. Mounting technique may be
selected on the basis of air purge, air purged/cooled and air
purged/water cooled. A universal lift/swivel stand is available to
aid in adjustment and alignment. |
